Who are we?
We are a coalition of organisations, practitioners, researchers, and community workers all committed to improve the health and well-being of all Australians.
Why are we here?
We want to stimulate the debate about food access and the many aspects of food insecurity. In a nutshell, we are keen to lift the veil on the issue of what it means to be food insecure in a world of plenty. We are keen to have our communities, politicians and policymakers take note and take action.
How we do it?
We organise events to bring the issue to a wider audience. We hope to reach community-based organisations, members of local governments, professionals from legal services, political parties, healthcare organisations, and the non-for-profit community at large. We engage in advocacy activities to get our politicians, local representatives, policymakers, and community members to better measure the impacts that food insecurity cause on social cohesion. We make our mission and values clear.
