The Coalition acknowledges that food systems are complex and require creative solutions to ensure they are healthy, sustainable, resilient and equitable for all.
Good Public Policy
The Coalition believes that government at all levels need to invest in policies and programs that respect, protect and fulfil the right to food in Australia.
The Coalition believes that government, industry and community stakeholders have a responsibility to work towards the right to food in Australia, and should be held accountable in their decision making.

OUR HISTORY & PAST ACTIVITIES
Australia’s Right to Food Coalition first came together in October 2014 for an inaugural conference in south-western Sydney called ‘Putting Food on the Table: Food Security is Everyone’s Business’. The conference created momentum among attendees, with a national structure for the Coalition established in April 2016.
The Coalition has organised a number of prominent events and initiatives to help achieve our mission since 2014.
Some highlights include
Developing a range of position statements for advocacy since 2016, such as The Human Right to Food and The Right to Eat Well
The Coalition is always on the lookout for passionate individuals with skills to assist our mission. You can find more information about how to get involved here.
